When you say 'clean' I'm not sure how you're defining it. I see you're on sprint like me so I'm linking to the stock sprint rom. You can then extract the .nbh and start from there.

I am thinking of it like a computer. when you have a blank hard drive it does not have windows, or anythign on it. you then have to put windwos on it. you do what most people refer to as a "clean install"

this gives you windows, and windows only. no extra drivers, no apps. no software from the pc manufacturere. the most basic install of windows. it contains ONLY windows code.

this is what im tryin to find out how it works with pda's. I assume you start with a stock rom from teh carrier. however even that still has code from the carrier.

is it possible to buy windows mobile direclty from microsoft and install it, having nothign but the most "pure" version of windows possible.

Re: how do i obtain oem files to make roms?

so, if this is the original sprint rom, what about the ones that have newer versions of windows.

28014 i think being the newest one as of yet. where would I obtain that?
atm im just using someone elses rom and editing it. i would like to make my own rom from scratch

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)

this is the complete purpose of using a kitchen, you are able to include/exclude apps and settings of your choosing... I'd recommend that you read up some more on how it's done.

23518 is the newest rom and that came from da g over at xda developers. calkulin has a link to all sys files, they can be downloaded here. You've wrote numerous times that you use indagrooves kitchen, i've used his before and calkulins is way more advanced and also easier to use. but if you just want the sys files they are located here.

23518 isn't in the sys folder because its already in the newest kitchen. When a new sys comes out, he will add 23518 to the sys folder.
