how do i obtain oem files to make roms?

for example i want to include the new google maps in my rom. but all i have is the cab. how do i obtain the oem files for this and other apps so they can be cooked into my rom? thanks

mmm. it looks like it. makes cab files into oem files. tho im not sure what a Apache kitchens kitchen is.

i ue ervius visual kitchen.

well. it seems to have worked. makes an oem of a cab, i move the cab to a particular folder. now it shows up as an option to include in my rom. im going to flash with mynew rom and see if gmaps is in it and runs.

well. it seemed to make the oem's correctly. from my lack of knoledge.

i had the option to include google maps in the rom, but when i flashed, i could not find it on the phone. assuming the oem is correct, what did I do wrong?

Most likely you are needing EXT files instead of OEM's if you're using a Visual Kitchen...

that must be it. esspicially since i had to put it in the ext folder rather than the oem folder.

I use it to convert my cabs to EXT or OEM files when necessary. Read the thread it's painfully simple to use...
