I am thinking of it like a computer. when you have a blank hard drive it does not have windows, or anythign on it. you then have to put windwos on it. you do what most people refer to as a "clean install"

this gives you windows, and windows only. no extra drivers, no apps. no software from the pc manufacturere. the most basic install of windows. it contains ONLY windows code.

this is what im tryin to find out how it works with pda's. I assume you start with a stock rom from teh carrier. however even that still has code from the carrier.

is it possible to buy windows mobile direclty from microsoft and install it, having nothign but the most "pure" version of windows possible.
