Re: Help: Phone Flips Itself

Actually ya I do use a magnetic case. I already had to fix it so that it wouldn't come unlocked in the case all the time when I put it in, is the flipping another magnetic case issue?

EDIT: Ya it seems to be a magnet issue as it only happens when its coming out of the case. Anyway to anyone interested I solved the issue a little by disabling the auto rotate at HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor, although if anyone has any ideas on a better fix itd be much appreciated. Thanks again everyone for the help already

Re: Help: Phone Flips Itself

Just curious but what happens if you insert you phone into the case the opposite way to normal e.g. insert so back cover goes against magnet, and not the screen. That was my fix for the auto-on / magnet issue. Doesn't work with all cases though.

If I am understanding your thinking right...

You would still have the issue of the magnets in the flap of the case brushing over the front of the screen. This is how I carry my phone in its magnetic case (screen facing toward my hip).

This problem would not occur if you had a magnetic case that had magnets in the main body of the case and just metal in the upper flap.

Re: Help: Phone Flips Itself

the phone uses a magnetic sensor to know that the keyboard has slid open. so when our phones pass the magnetic flaps, the phone thinks that keyboard has been opened. I am not sure how to disable that without disabling the screen rotation when the keyboard is slid open.
