Re: Verizon and USC HTC Sense 2.5 MMS Fix Through HTC Messaging, No Arcsoft, No cabs
What is making me crazy is it will not work on energy Leo Feb 11 nor any other build, unless I also install the Valkyrie file. The it works after a soft reset. The problem is I can only send a QVGA size photo or video, I have it set to 10meg and can send up to 9.8meg but it will only send these small arse pics... Any ideas???

1: Opening the picture in the album 2: Clicking the picture to access option bar 3: Selecting send/mail/distribute/etc on the options bar 4: Selecting "mail" 5: Selecting "Picture Message" (This is for Verizon, after changing the mms server settings as per page 1) This sends the picture fine and I know for a fact the attempted recipients have received the pictures I've sent. For some reason I get a copy of the message in my htc messaging inbox with the address "@", however, this is a small price to pay for working sending and receiving mms on Juicy's R10 . Sorry for the long post, but I'm sure I won't be the only one searching for this. ORIGINAL POST: Ditto. I'm running Juicy R10. I've got the exact same issue. Anybody got a solution? Makes no sense to me especially considering so many people are saying VZW mms works fine for their 2.5 builds Last edited by bluerockit; 02-24-2010 at 03:13 PM. |

Re: Verizon and USC HTC Sense 2.5 MMS Fix Through HTC Messaging, No Arcsoft, No cabs
I found I had to disable the HTC messaging because it constantly lagged or froze my phone. What worked for my Verizon TP2 custom ROM (4_5 Dusk6_5_x_VZW) was to first install tjELITE.VZWArcSoftMMS5.2.12.45.cab, disable HTC msg using Zenyee Disable HTC messaging 1.2 , check my SMS/MMS setting and either change or create a Verizon CDMA Server with the following:
Server name: Verizon Ip Address: Blank Port Number: 80 Server Address: http://mms.vzw.com/servlets/mms Connect Via: Internet My highest 'Send Data Limit' is 300k NO WAP FOR ANY OF THESE Anyhow this was through various ROM's, utilities, and settings. I'm not saying it will work for everyone but I can now send/receive MMS while enjoying my fast custom ROM. Do the same under GSM Servers, but instead of Server Address: http://mms.vzw.com/servlets/mms, use http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms Last edited by o0RaidR0o; 09-29-2010 at 01:12 PM. |

There is a reghack thanks to rickthecabbie to increase send limit size. I've edited the original post to suit Verizon specific needs. I set my send limit to 935k this way 1. HKEY-LOCAL-MACHINE 2. software 3. arcsoft 4. arcsoft mms ua 5. config 7. ui 8. sizelimit Wap2SendLimit3 = "958400" This changed the third option in the server menu size limit drop down to 900k AND... 1. HKEY-LOCAL-MACHINE 2. software 3. arcsoft 4. arcsoft mms ua 5. config 7. mm1 8. MMSCSettings 9. Verzion/Verizon2 (you may have two settings, so do the same for both) WAP2SendDefaultSize = "985400" this preset it to 935k as the default setting for my second server on "WAP2" which is in the GSM Server tab under the SMS/MMS settings... |
