Maintain linked Facebook contacts between flashing ROMs?

So a while a go I went through and linked a bunch of my contacts to their corresponding Facebook accounts. I couldn't do it automatically because I don't use complete first and last names for my contacts. After all that I synced them with Google and thought all was well and proceeded to flash another ROM. After I flashed the new ROM i resynced my contacts with Google and lost all of the Facebook information.

Anyway, so I went back through and relinked the Facebook accounts to their contacts. Now I'm thinking about flashing another ROM but I want to know if there's a way to backup the Facebook contact links?\

I wish I knew how. I've been wondering the same thing, but just left them unlinked since I've been flashing so often recently. Damn Mighty and his lightning fast releases!

sign in to facebook 1st, then sync your contacts via google, or outlook.

mine stay linked using that method and i dont use last names for the majority of my contacts.

From the for what's it worth department...

I was having the same problem until I started using the Sense 2.5 ROMs, then it seems like I can link them, sync with My Phone and when I flashed to another 2.5 ROM they were already linked. I did make sure I was logged into Facebook first.

how are u syncing via google? im not familiar with syncing over google i have a gmail account if that matters

i dont do my contacts via google, i mainly do mine via outlook and activesync on my laptop.

You can do it via google and exchange server. there was a big topic here in the forums about it when google 1st started it.

If you use a back up program and back up your pim.vol file is backs up your contacts with facebook link and favorite tab in TF3D. I use Sashimi to back up my pim file and then restore it once i flash. Like others said, sign into facebook via your contact card first, then once you restore your pim.vol file, go to the updates and events tab and hit menu and update and you're done.

where can i get sashimi id like to try this? i use to just manually go into file explorer and copy the pim file to my memory card and it would maintain my facebook link, my sense favorite contacts and all my texts and stuff but for some reason on the newest mighty rom build that isnt working for me anymore so im going to try out this sashimi

I was wondering the same thing for a while. I just synced with google, we will see how that goes.

Can someone put up the attachment for Sashimi? I would like a double backup just in case one fails.
