Re: Who plans to go HD2?
Short end of the stick, if you love windows and have good tmobile service you need to get that phone. The President of windows was rocking it. I don't know where you put yourself but if thats what he got and thats what I want, I definitely have to have it. By the time Sprint has an hd2 something else will be hot and more then likely Tmobile will still have it first.

Re: Who plans to go HD2?
With them not requiring a contract and being even cheaper than Sprint on most plans, you really have nothing to lose. I'd be there in a heartbeat if they had a phone I wanted. Worse case scenario is you hate it and go to another carrier with no ETF, and sell your phone (or even keep it as a spare).

Re: Who plans to go HD2?
Call me crazy, but I'm going to wait until the first phone with an official version of WM7 and a hardware KB is released before I make a new phone purchase or decision about a carrier. HTC has more up their sleeve and will have better phones available before the end of the year. At that point, we'll see where all of the carriers are heading and be able to make a better decision. I would also like to see real world coverage and speeds that go with the maps listed by the carriers. Honestly, the only network that I have seen that rivals Sprint in the areas that I travel is Verizon, but their prices are ridiculous.

Re: Who plans to go HD2?
Personally, if the Omnia Pro was to hit the U.S. market I would already be there. Unfortunately, it will likely be in the iddle of my NE2 before either of these phones might be abailable. I like my TP2, but it doesn't kill my I760 for functionality.

Re: Who plans to go HD2?
My take on Sprint after being with them for 10+ years and in IT for 25+ is that their 3G is quite fast for most things all up the coast fro FL to NY. The 4G is rapidly being deployed and I was shocked when I recently checked to see how many people are covered already. The Palm Pre is touted as 4G ready (I have not verified that since I use the Treo Pro still) but putting out 4G phones will be the easy part.
With Sprint owning 51% of Clear (the 4G guys) and Comcast, Time Warner, Google & Intel as partners do you really think that 4G will fail. I also just read that Atlanta (or most of it) is now fully 4G ready & operational. This does not even go ito price, try to match SWprint on Price/feature/performance. I do not work for Sprint or own stock, just love technology. The game can go in almost any direction right now. |
