Install one of the cooked ROMs and find out...

A few things off the top of my head are

1: It's faster
2: Bigger and more finger friendly menus
3: Scrolabble lists- for example, you can scroll down in file explorer the same you you do in Opera, by dragging the whole window. It makes it more finger friendly.

Only reason I want to see an official Sprint release is so that maybe the MMS issue can finally be resolved for us Sprint users.

What MMS issue? I have been using MMS on cooked ROMs since day 1. No MMS would be a deal breaker for me as I use it every day. It's probably just an issue with the ROM you are using. I am using indagroove's Titanium and it works fine.

maybe there going to add wimax into the rom and that might be the delay. im just saying.
