The Omnia Pro would absolutely be a viable alternative if it was for sale. I don't think you can even buy one at all yet, and even when it is for sale it won't have USA 3G on GSM with no CDMA version even announced at all.

But yes, tilting screen is important to me anyway.

some of you guys are killing me. there has been a way to disable this since the very first day, with hd tweak or the registry edit.

The ONLY gripe I got, is jus like many others said, the camera is a**!! I compare my pics I took wit my TP... to my pics wit the TP2....& get real disappointed. My girls BlackBerry Curve takes better quality pics!!! Thats real disappointing! I got this coo, nice lookin phone.... and my Pic quality is garbage! also with NO flash! and I do use my camera pretty often. I saw alotta people talkin about the buttons too, I dont think theres anything wrong wit em, I got big hands and don't have any problems. I think eventually ALL phones will be this way, with bigger screens and fewer buttons on the face. I guess one more SMALL complaint is, the battery cover, I dunno if all other carriers are the same but the Sprint one is weird as hell! Ohh 1 MORE thing! LoL, The fact the the Internal memory is very LIMITED!!! U got phones like the iPhone that have Gigs and Gigs of memory! and Micro SD carsd get expensive! I have a 2GB

@ JSM Celroy, The SMS/MMS sent Notification thing is Convenient. LoL I had a Instrumental song for my Text Notification and I'd be on the phone and even if I sent them a text back, It would still be ringin in my ear until I press END wich got annoying after awhile. Plus I dunno if there is a way to re-enable it besides a hard reset.

haha i laughed at that post and didnt even felt it deserved a response lol...that hack has been around since the mogul or even the touch....

I made the comment about it "STILL" being an issue above, but then I searched and found out that it still was a problem for people within the last month to get rid of it. Apparently, the registry change didn't work. And then tweak programs only made the SMS sent notification go away, not the MMS one. I feel bad for the lil' guy.

Leaving out the flash is unheard of in this day with a high-end smartphone.

I also finding it closing apps on its own without any appearent reason.

Beyond that, it is the greatest phone.

And I can only hope HTC realizes we want keyboards and not just assume the devices sold well because they were running Android. Even so, I'd be happy to see an Android device with a keyboard from HTC.

sigh.... compare old Verizon's version of the same phones Sprint carries.. Only lately have they finally quelled crippling their phones..

I.e. Sprint Droid rumored to come out next year after VZW's exclusivity will have higher specs.. One possibly being it's cpu at 800Mhz.

not really, the rom is made to the carriers specifications. But the hardware is made by the manufactuer (htc in this case), its up to the carrier to decide to carry that phone or not. then they will decide on if they want to manufactuer the phone.
