Re: Anyone Using Seven for Push Email?
I have been using it for email as well.
I read once that it sends a text message back to report whenever the app. crashes or so. I have seen the charges well on my account as well. As of lately it hasn't even working for me, but that is a different issue. |

Re: Anyone Using Seven for Push Email?
I've been just researching this today. Check out this thread on xda-developers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=593036
Haven't tried it yet, but sounds promising... |

EDIT: This is a re-branded version of Seven from Sprint. No international texts. SMS-based pushes, which means no connection is kept open, and no checking every X minutes. After the first reboot, the setup window might hide behind the main HTC Sense interface. Make sure you complete the setup and registration by looking for the Mobile Email setup program in the task manager (this is only after the 1st reboot).

Re: Anyone Using Seven for Push Email?
After rebooting, did you setup your Gmail account from the wizard that pops up? It may hide as HTC Sense will cover it up, but you can open it by seeing the running programs in the task manager. I tried different roms, and in all of them never had any issues getting gmail pushed. Btw, this is just a re-branded version of Seven (but no international texts, and sms-based push which is great).
