Completely and effectively disable Today screen?

I found out that I can change the registry in 'HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today' to turn off the Today screen, but its not very effective. Whenever I close a software the phone still go back to what's used to be the Today screen, which is now shown as a frozen screenshot of what I was previously doing. Is there a way to make the phone go back to the Start Menu instead?

Basically what I want to do is start in the Start Menu all the times, and not have any Sense nor Today screen.
