I was using seven to manage three accounts and after removing it in attempt to resolve connectivity issues, I noticed my phone was much more responsive. I started using activesync for my main gmail account and had imap polling for my other accounts. However, gmail activesync has proven unreliable at times so that left me looking for other options. I was going to give nuevasync a shot until I noticed they dont support html. Then I found ximapidle which was working nicely with one account and now I am trying it with multiple accounts while keeping activesync for contacts, calendar and even email while I test the stability of ximapidle. |

Re: Anyone Using Seven for Push Email?
I have personally been using Seven for over a year now and push 3 gmail accounts and two school accounts. I had some delayed mails for a few days, but every thing seems to have figured its self out.
Active sync is great for gmail if you are only syncing one account, but that is it. The international sms charges only accrue when you initially install and setup the accounts. Once it is up and running you will not be charged again. Something to keep in mind if you are constantly flashing might be to run a rom for a few days to make sure you like it and will stick with it for a bit before you install Seven.. at least that's what I have done to minimize the int. sms. Re: Anyone Using Seven for Push Email?
Been using Seven for 6 months or so and love it. Originally on my TouchPro, now on my TouchPro2 with Calkulin's 6.5 28005 Manila 2.1 ROM v1.1.
Only minor connection issues, but figure its them & it usually is not down long. I use it for one account, my work email which only has OWA access. I also have an exchange server and GMail IMAP setup on the phone, but dont run these thru Seven. I checked my bill for the last three months. I do have the international txt charges, but appears only to be a couple a month. This is due to flashing new roms and having to verify Seven after each new install. Seven does state this charge is only for verification when you setup an account. |
