Good stuff, after tryin to break into this thing for the past few hours, I got in!!!

The settings for MMS are locked out from changes, bummer.

However, I am finding some of the info. Very Interesting!!!

mms_x_wap_profile_url http://www.google.com/oha/rdf/ua-profile-kila.xml

This setting must be os/manufacturer specific. HTC Message uses their own also on the Leo ROM.

There is more I'm going thru so just bear with me.
It took me 2 hours just to figure out how to get to the files and where they were at.
Gotta give thanks to KevDog over on DroidForums (http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dro...oid-2-0-a.html) for the instruction on getting a running SSH server on the Hero to get the files.

So should this give us some hope? (Sorry but half of what you said went right over my head)

Angry Re: Native HTC messaging MMS fix (collaboration)

You're right man, anyone having this problems should just read the posts and recomendations of the experts in here and stop asking the same questions over and over.

I have a touch pro 2 on Sprint running MM WAR, with the same issues, but I limit myself to just read and test, read and test...

The new rom I flashed has the landscape fix and I dont know what else. For zenyee to not get rid of HTC completely leads me to believe that something has change in HTC messaging with this new rom. Im still unable to send MMS through HTC but I can do everything else. It looks like while zenyee didnt disable HTC messaging completely it did disable the MMS part making it so that I dont even have the option to send MMS through HTC.
This is exactly what I have.
I'm using Mighty's War with the lanscape feature, I can do everything else but send MMS, i had to install zenyee and Arcsoft, so far the only way us sprint users can work around this issue.

Not sure if this means anything but if its in there its b/c its useful im guessing, if im wrong please tell me to stop lol as im going thru everything and every possibility to get this working...hey cant we just write a letter to htc or sumtin and ask them to fix mms for all cdma devices lol
Actually, the letter part to HTC or Sprint is not such a bad idea, I'm an 11 year subscriber of Sprint and will be more than glad to sign such letter.
LOL, I'm sure they would forward it to HTC, you know "passing the ball' or 'punting'.
BUT, the thrill and satisfaction of cracking this problem open is what keeps us working on it.
I'd test any suggestion, and have an extensive line of codes written to perform on my own phone.
I'll report back soon with the results.
So far I'm at the UAProfile= and UserAgent Part.
It's making some sense, because the phone id changes when we custom-flash our roms.

Still waiting for the fix as well....not smart enough to figure it out myself, though.

Still using 2.5, just getting by with sMMS...

Re: Native HTC messaging MMS fix (collaboration)

thanks to all that's still trying to make this work.

I'm trying to keep this thread alive so that we can effectively get a fix for this.

Will we be able to get things working once Sprint releases THEIR WM6.5 update??
