Pioneer DEH-9800BT. Sound quality is fine, it just won't auto connect.

My plans for today are to try the PZN (or whatever) ROM, and then maybe some Apache junk. Yeah, I know, it doesn't work.

Don't try the Apache stuff (diff hardware), and the other ROMs are all based on the same things so its not worth trying. Some A2DP headsets don't have an auto-initiate function (the i.tech R35 for example), because most A2DP devices will control the initiation.
My wife's Samsung M510 connects to my i.tech R35 just fine by turning on bluetooth when playing music, but every WM device needs to be manually connected (go to bluetooth settings, find the device and click "set as wireless stereo"). However my Logitech A2DP headphones auto connect just fine to every WM phone just by pressing play on the headset.

Bottom line: Its your car stereo, not your phone. The stereo is probably one of the many that lacks the auto-initiate step. What you can do is write a MortScript to do the manual connection for you and set it to a hardware button. That's what I did for my i.tech. Or, get a Sony stereo!

ok I got 3 questions about this WM5 Alltell ROM that I have noticed. First, the SprintPPCgeeksMMS.cab does not work. Is there anyway to get working MMS on this WM5 Alltel ROM when using it on the Mogul? Secondly, you can properly add a e-mail account however as soon as you soft reset your phone the e-mail account you added is gone and you would have to re add it. Anyway to fix that so after you add a e-mail address its always there, until you choose to delete it? Lastly, not really a big deal but when you connect to the internet it says connecting to Alltel Axces Link in stead of Sprint or Sprint PCS, the interent works just fine but any way to change it back to saying Sprint? Any info would be appreciated

The car stereo auto-connects maybe 25% of the time, and it does just fine with a 6700, so it's definitely not the stereo. If I cycle the bluetooth off and then on, it auto-connects. Sometimes just turning the 6800 on does the trick.

Thanks anyway, though.

And let this be a challenge to anyone out there who still might have a pre-release Sprint Titan with WM5 still on it. ImCoKeMaN can step you through a couple of steps to have the ROM dumped in minutes. He has made what is really a complicated process into something extremely easy for even noobs to do. So if you have (or can get access to) a Sprint WM5 Titan device then please PM ImCoKeMan! We would love to have a complete archive of all "official" Titan ROMs and that Sprint one is about the only one we are missing.

Just wondering if anyone has tried MS Voice Command and see if bluetooth confirmation is working with this WM5 on the Sprint 6800.

what rom do you have? chances are it's already available. if it can be downloaded on the internet for your carrier you're all set with a backup plan. you will lose all your installed applications though with the hard reset.

Its not a leak, its accelerates WM6's response times. When will you people learn?! Gah...

Tell you what talk to the mods, See what they have to say. If you read some of the other threads around here you will notice that this is the biggest complaint by everybody. And how was it random?? this is a thread for WM5 on the mogul.

No, its a leak. My Apache didn't do this and my Mogul running on WM6 is slower than it is on my Apache.

Programs saying they're out of memory is unacceptable.

WM5 just plain runs better. And the memory leak question has been addressed already in this thread. No, it doesn't have it.
