I have the original sprint wm6 rom.

Im thinking of going ahead and updating now, i installed a lot of stuff, but i really want to see how wm5 holds up when it comes to ram disappearing, i have a friend with a mda running wm5 and they guy literally closes no application and stays around 15 mb, it makes me sick how wm6 is

WM5 just plain runs better. And the memory leak question has been addressed already in this thread. No, it doesn't have it.
Thank you.

Thats my point, when i have to worry about if i have enough memory to run certain programs its a pain.

i think that was his point. every single topic gets turned into a memory leak conversation. the people bringing it up usually have already discussed it on other threads. it is a distraction from what could be productive topics otherwise.

you bought a wm6 device and now youre bitching about the device because of how wm6 works. were really tired of hearing it.

I had an MDA for over a year and memory was handled in more or less the same manner as it is now with WM6 on a Mogul. I could run the MDA down to where it had practically no free memory with ease AND it didn't fare as well as the Mogul because the MDA was so ungodly slow. There was no end to the whining about a "memory leak" with WM5 on the MDA, too. Maybe ya'll don't remember it, but I do. Real well. If you want "memory leaks" fixed, get another phone. WM5 has a somewhat smaller footprint but other than that, you'll see no difference.

Agree Oxios is a great program but the only issue I have with it is that after u use it and open up a program, it will close the program u are using after a few minutes...really annoying

Yeah, I found that out about Oxios the hard way... couldn't figure out why every time I'd try to multitask, the program I was using would close... figured it was a WM bug... lol

and klurf - the only thing I found myself missing was PPST (you can still get to it by launching it from the Windows folder directly though) and the more refined interface of WM6.

Ok for anyone wondering, I do like the Alltel WM5 ROM on the Mogul. I like that its more stable, no leak really, and that so many more programs were desgined for WM5. However, there are 2 problems that I have come across and I was hoping someone could help me out with these:

1. I cant get MMS to work when running this Alltel ROM, any idea how i can get Sprint MMS running on my Mogul with this Alltel ROM?

2. When you add a E-mail account everything works fine until you soft reset your device then that account you created is gone and you have to re set it up...any ideas how to fix that?

If i could find some way to fix both these problems this ROM would be perfect until WM6 gets a little more refined. So if anyone has any ideas please share.
