NEW Palm Threaded sms app with MMS 4/1/09

Thanks again for your help. I can't figure out what the problem can be. I downloaded SMS Tweaker to try to enable threaded texting. This did not work. Maybe SMS Tweaker changed something in the registry that is causing the problem? Even after successfully uninstalling and reinstalling the new Palm app the texts refuse to thread properly.

Yeah, dunno what SMS Tweaker is, but it may have messed things up. Hopefully you backed up before all of this.

I installed this and so far I LOVE it. IMO, the integrated MMS is much better than the Sprint Picmail, the Arcsoft and yes, even sMMS. However, I use the default MS Today screen and I notice the icon for the SMS Messages is slightly larger than the others (i.e. Voicemail, Email, Calendar).



Anyone else notice this?

You can probably resource hack the icon down to size. The square 320x320 video mode on the Treo's use a different dpi setting than other modes.

Thank you for the advice. I did a search for "resource hack", but this thread was the only hit. Can you please be more specific or point me in a certain direction?

I meant a tool such as Resource Hacker, XN Resource editor, Resource Builder etc.
Although I don't think you can hack it once the file is signed which it is in the cab. I'll give it a try if I have time tonight.

OH! I have never used any tools like that. Thanks for looking into it. I also noticed the new SMS/MMS message icon doesn't show up in the top toolbar. Is that something that might be an easy fix?

I think that's a bug in the original program. The notification icon never shows up on the Treo 800w either. I thought it might be a bad icon in the main app, but I added another one in the right size, but still doesn't show up.

Sorry I didn't get to resizing the icon in the today plugin yet. Maybe I'll get to it tonight.
