this has been riped from the treo 800w. the mms finally works with this version. should work on the 6800. it is allready set up for sprint. other providers will just have to change the mms url. i'll try and post those later.

Ease of use. Better interface. Many prefer it over poutlook inbox.

I ask because I have an 800w and I switched to Poutlook. I like that alot better than the Palm SMS. POutlook seems to have better features.

heh, did you use my script to do the switch? :)

Yeah it's a personal preference. I find poutlook a bit clumsy to use for texting.

This works beautifully on my Mogul, thanks. Much snappier than Outlook. I only have 2 problems- I don't like the message popup & I can't find any way to turn it off. Also, there is no audible alert when a message is received & I can't find any option for that either.

EDIT: Never mind, I'm an artard. I just found both settings under Sounds & Notifications. Derr. Thanks for this app!

For the benefit of others you'll find the settings in Sounds & Notifications event labeled:
"Messaging: New Message (Palm)"

Since the cab was designed specifically for the Sprint Treo Pro the sound picked is a Treo specific sound. For other devices you'll have to choose another sound file as you have found out.
