Please send me a PM with your registry settings (if MR1/2 send Valhalla and SUPL AGPS, if custom send me QPST and SUPL AGPS) and I will help you get it working. Should be good across the country, but definitely on the West Coast (I am in SB, CA).

I would love to think that service would get better when this happened but I am inclined to believe that they have found a way to get "comparable coverage" for a cheaper price. Where is the nerdy guy with the mob of Verizon techs now.... I think they changed to Sprint.
I discovered some months back that aGPS actually transmits tiny data packets over the cell network, not the EVDO data network. I also read something the other night about Verizon integrating Alltel subscribers into the Verizon system with the result the EVDO becomes overloaded and slows down and it presumably slows down data over the cell network as well. Hopefully just a temporary bump in the road.

Everthing is still working good for me but not quite as good as it was a couple weeks ago. I still get quick locks with GPS but VisualGPS shows satellites changing wildly for the first couple minutes... from 9 to 2 to 5 to 10 to 2, etc. .... EV also drops to 1X all too often.

EV dropping to 1X should have nothing to do with your gps settings.

Re: VZW aGPS issues anyone?

I didn't get aGPS to work but I used the method from this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...57#post3492457) on xda to get GPS working.

I'm running stock ROM on XV6800 with the Vahalla Legends CAB installed. Not aGPS...but better than nothing.

You are so close to having aGPS work.

Just change these values manually in registry editor and you should be golden:

HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\Mode=2 (the original value)
HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\PDEAddress=5C8BC6D8 (HEX)
HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\PDEPort=8889

Doesn't hurt to change these to match (but I don't think they are necessary):
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\SUPL AGPS]
"GPSMode"=4
"EnableAGPS"=1
"EnableGPSSmartMode"=1

Re: VZW aGPS issues anyone?

All,
I upgraded to MR2 on Sunday and had no GPS until today when I changed the setting for Valhalla to

HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\Mode=2 (the original value)
HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\PDEAddress=5C8BC6D8 (HEX)
HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\PDEPort=8889

I get a lock on 7 to 9 in about 30 seconds>

Sure enough, got up this morning and GPS was down again. Don't know if the rain & clouds diminished my sat reception or not though. I switched to these settings(which didn't work yesterday) and now i'm locking on about 4-6 sats.

So am I going to have to keep switching these settings everyday?

If you have any trouble getting locks, just soft-reset and try again. That's worked for me all week.

Also when you make registry settings for GPS it's a good practice to count to 20 after you make the registry change then shut the phone off, then pull the battery out and count to 20 before putting it back in and booting up.

These should be the settings that work everyday. Not sure what the other ones you were using, but let me know if it reverts again.

I have been trying verizon's aGPS settings every day, but they still do not work. Non-authorized requests may be getting blocked.
