This all sounds great, thanks! I am right now using AE Buttons Plus, which works really well except it sometimes seems to crash and stop working.

I'll look into Smartskeys, thank you for sharing the info!

Smartskey looks like my kind of software, no frills, powerful and highly configurable. I tried downloading your script and it comes in full of garbled unicode characters, they show as chinese characters in both notepad and wordpad. What should it look like?

THanks again for the tip by the way.

Wow sorry about that. I checked and you're right it was messed up. For some reason when you download the .ini it becomes corrupted. I reuploaded and corrected the link that has the ini in a zip file now (so technically you should still be able to do everything from your Mogul if you'd like) but it should be fine now. This is an excellent program and easy to use. Let me know if you tinker with it anymore and maybe this is the motivation to mess with mine and make that left key for something useful like my favorite apps.

Handyswitcher from Dinarsoft has a hardware button support option. If enabled, it lets you close apps by pushing the OK button.

VJOKButt can be assigned to a hardware button (ok) to close apps.
