I sent a trouble ticket to the CorePlayer support team asking if the will ever fully support the ppc-6800 and its qualcomm 7500 chipset. They replied stating that they do support the phone but do not currently support the hardware acceleration pertaining to the qualcomm chipset; which is why you see that the benchmarks are higher on the treo. They are looking into the situation to see if they will add it to any of their future releases of the software.

that's odd I get 183% for Xvid/Divx which is 200% on my older 6700 and 130% for H264 files where as it was the same speed for the 6700 this is with core player 1.1.2 using files encoded at 320x240 360kbit and 44khz audio full stereo using codecs mentioned.

130% is perfectly fine especially for AVC video at 360kbps I noticed your video is only 220kbps so im not sure why your getting less than stellar performance so far im extremely satisfied on the Mogul performance overall.
For those jumping on the bandwagon I recommend using PSPvideo9 (google it) to do the encoding using the settings i have to get smooth and crispy video playback. |

Until the hardware acceleration is utilized on the Mogul, the benchmarks are going to be worse than other lower end or older phones which have their hardware acceleration utilized. It doesn't mean that the 6800 hardware is inferior just because the software to utilize its abilities is not yet available.
You can get smooth playback out of the 6800 even with the software limitations. However, if you have special needs or benchmarks are very important to you then the 6800 might not be the right device for you right now.
