Is Sprint still giving out refur'ed MOGULs? - Page 59

I just purchased a use Mogul of Craigslist for $50. It looks brand new but I did notice in the ## menus it's a refurb. The person was leaving Sprint so I guess they made claim so they would have nice phone to sell rather then their POS. I had issues with the keyboard but a little cleaning with alcohol from the inside seemed to fix it. So far so good.

I regularly go on advance exchange and see what they are offering for my phone. In the past they surprised me with a new phone so I just keep checking once or twice a week and see what pops up. Wonder if they still have a lot 700wx's. Maybe I'll change the esn on my Titan to match the 700wx's and focus on getting an upgrade for it.

Here is something I just found out. Sprint has a policy that if you return a phone 3 times in 3 months that automatically have to give you an upgrade. Unfortunately, I didn't find this out (and no one at sprint offered the info) until I was on my 9th mogul!

I just got a Pro and it is so much better. I had to call Retention to get the ball rolling...

asurion is still giving moguls. seems like them and sprint have an unlimited amount of stock for moguls.

Because a number of months ago someone let slip that they were out of moguls and were trading Touch Pros. So everyone and there dog "broke" their mogul and now they have an over supply of refurbed moguls from all those trades. My mogul has never had a problem other than it was designed with an insufficient amount of ram which is a problem for me, but I'm not going to trade out for crappy refurbs for 6 months and then have them tell me to F off 'cause there's no way I'll get a TP2 and that's the only phone I would consider a true replacement to the Mogul.

Wait till your keyboard starts to crap out and becomes unuseable. Maybe the rest of us will have used up all the refurbs by then...

it is mind-boggling that sprint is still giving away these things! but at least the 6800 doesn't overheat like the 6850!

on my original mogul the keyboard lasted for about a year and a half before it started to crap out on me. then i've been given two refurbs and several hard resets and still the keyboard sucks

my refurb came and the end call button was missing. called asurion and they're sending me a touch pro.

Do you have to pay the deductible? Doesn't Asurion just handle loss and damage claims?

yeah, had to pay the deductible but i talked to a customer service rep and they were going to credit it back to me. as far as asurion, i had to claim it as lost because i could go through with a claim otherwise. sprint actually told me to go through asurion since they were unable to fix the problem.
