Re: Htc Titan stuck in bootloader
It sounds like you did everything right. Try to run the RUU again. Disable screen saver and power saver settings on the pc. Don't want these to happen when running the RUU.

I don't have a microSD handy, since my previous phone (Apache) used minisd. Sigh. If I had a microsd I would try the upgrade from sd card method. |

I'm just shocked that something as simple as a hard reset could get a phone stuck in bootloader mode. |

Re: Htc Titan stuck in bootloader
There was another thread recently where this happened. If I remember correctly, there were bad sectors in the memory and the phone couldn't be recovered. Hope this isn't what is happening here.

Check this thread. Might help. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...uck+bootloader

That post did not help. However, I decided to pull the battery and wait a really long time. The result is that it now fairly reliably leaves bootloader mode. One time it tried to refuse, but pulling the battery for only about three seconds let it boot.
For some reason it refuses to update via the new microsd card I just bought. (The bootloader shows for a bit, then a gray screen with a message appears for a fraction of a second, then the bootloader screen comes back. (Yes, the is under 2 GB, it is a 1 GB sandisk card). I suppose my unit just has a personality defect. ![]() |

Re: Htc Titan stuck in bootloader
I see no one asked the version of the bootloader. Hopefully I didn't miss it, but what version do you have?
