I red somewhere that disabling the sound make the transition between screens faster, is this true? If so what do I need to delete to do away with it?

Hey! I got it to work pretty cool.
But I really want the sidekick sliding sounds.
Does anybody have those?

This registry tweak doesn't work for me.

1. Went through it eight times all following the instructions and nothing worked.
2. Tried simply just replacing the 0/1/2 files and windows was giving me errors due to protected memory.

Anyone have any ideas?

Post the contents of your HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/HTC/SlidingSound/3 Key

It should contain the following:

(Default) Theme Name
in 3_in.wav
out 3_out.wav

Makesure that the 3_in.wav and 3_out.wav are in your \WINDOWS directory. I didn't have to reboot, but others do. Wait 30 seconds after entering in the registry data. Afterwards, go to Start > Settings > Sliding Sounds and select the new Entry you made. Make sure the Sliding sound checkbox is checked.
