Post the contents of your HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/HTC/SlidingSound/3 Key

It should contain the following:

(Default) Theme Name
in 3_in.wav
out 3_out.wav

Makesure that the 3_in.wav and 3_out.wav are in your \WINDOWS directory. I didn't have to reboot, but others do. Wait 30 seconds after entering in the registry data. Afterwards, go to Start > Settings > Sliding Sounds and select the new Entry you made. Make sure the Sliding sound checkbox is checked.

Alright heres how you do it

step 1 get your 2 files, as far as i know they HAVE to be .wav files the shorter the better....

step 2 name the closing sound #_in.wav and the opening sound #_out.wav (where # is any number greater then 2 because 0 1 and 2 are taken up by the default sounds, i am assuming you can add as many as you want, and just keep them in the numerical sequence) and then copy them into your windows directory on the device

(now the registry editing begins)

step 3 browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > HTC > Sliding sound
and make a new key and number in sequence (so if this is your first it will be 3)

step 4 create a new string and set the value name as Default and for value data, name it whatever refers to your sounds

step 5 create another string set the value name as: in and enter the value data as title of your #_in.wav you made earlier

step 6 create another string set the value name as: out and value data as your #_out.wav you made earlier

step 7 (to make sure the reg edits stick) press the power button on your device on the side, leave it off for 30 seconds, turn it on, then back off and soft reset the device

step 8 go into your sliding sounds settings and apply your new sound scheme
i cant find that HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE anywhere in my device, little help please?

New guy question, I can's seem to find the place to put the #_in.wav file. Do I need a special program to find this on File Explorer? I got a Mogul 6800.

No sure since I never used that version but if you are using the File Explorer and you go to the link for My Mobile Device, there should be a Windows Folder there.

Do you have a registry editor? PHM Registry Editor perhaps?

The wave files go into the windows folder.

Did you wait over 30 seconds?

If you guys want to make it easier on you, why don't you just go download my installable transformer sound pack? It takes the pain in the a$$ out of the a$$.

Yes, I have closed my site and I'm in the process of moving. I do have all of my themes still and will upload them on request here. The best part about the themes is they were perfectly on Windows 6.5 Romz.
