If you ever get that let me now!!!
Such freakin huge icons .. WThuda!

Under "HKLM\Services\Power"
You can change the key ShowIcon to 1 and you will then have the battery icon in the bottom tray. I am still working to track down the other 3 icons. The HTC plugin is such a huge waste of screen space.

This didn't work for me.

I can set the registry value, but there is no visible change when I return to my home screen.

When I do a soft reset, the registry value is back to 0.

Maybe something I'm using on the Today screen is messing with it? Is there something else I have to do?

I'm using two things that change the Today screen from the default:
*HTC Touch Home Plugin.
*Threaded SMS

After you do this you must remove the HTCHomeplug icon from your desktop then it will show properly.
You are resetting the phone too fast. You have to give it a couple minutes to write the value to the registry. Be patient before rebooting. This tweak is totally independant of any plugins.

Should fix most problems if you did something to your phone by accident and wont let you connect to Sprint PCS #777. If the problems still persist contact Sprint, dont waste your time talking to anyone just tell em to transfer you to Advanced Technical Services to the people who actually know wtf they are doing not reading off a screen.

As you can tell I had a fun day today [PAUSE] NOT!
##3282# Doesn't do anything Is that the right sequence?

##3282# works but the code you just gave is your personal MSL code. it will not work for anyone else but you

Yeah, that is all good, but when you open and then close the keyboard, it goes back to portrait. I would like it to stay in Landscape(right handed) unless I tell it otherwise.
same here. that'd be a really useful feature. anyone?

This edit allows you to see the duration of your Vision connection along with a button to disconnect it.
You see it in the bubble that is displayed when you tap the Vision icon.

Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Click ControlPanel
Click Phone
[at this point, the buttom grey status bar should read \HKLM\ControlPanel\Phone'
Click the bottom menu 'edit'
Select new dword value

Change the value name to "Flags2" (no quotes).
Select the 'hexidecimal' button.
Type 10
Click ok.
You should now see in the 'name/data' section:

Flags2 16 (0x00010)

When done, reset the device.

fyi no quotes on the sting values if using a reg edit.

This remove date from today and puts it upop....
Thanks for the info... I did this and got the date up top, but the year is missing the last digit.

Also, how do I get rid of the default carrier name and date line on the today screen? Im sure there is a simple way but im not seeing it. Thanks.
Guys,

Did anybody write down the original settings before this hack? I think Im gonna reverse it. Thanks.
yes just remove the tbopt and the ssdte entries....
I got the date back on my HTC Home plugin by deleting the SSDTE value completely from the registry. Just thought I'd post in case this happened to anyone else..

I've tried this one and it changes the operator name until I soft reset, then it goes back to SprintPCS. I have tried waiting for a few minutes after making the reg change with the phone off and also tried it with it on, same result.

Can't get this one to stick. After changing the reg I wait a few minutes before soft resetting, and it always changes back to SprintPCS. I've tried leaving the phone on and tried it off while waiting a few minutes, same thing.

I just installed this. I like it except that the left soft button always flashes Notification now. I went through the settings and can't find any way to turn that off.
