Sorry, don't have a screen shot. Just change it, reboot, if ya don't like it reset it to "1" and reboot and the clock will come back.

I haven't personally tried this app, but Batti is freeware and puts a battery icon up there.

Well, I do have the battery meter on top but the only screen shot I have at the moment has the charging icon since it was plugged in at the time.

Paul,
Thanks alot for the trayicons file. What a lifesaver. I was having a world of a time trying to get the screen orientation icon in the systray.

The only icon that doens't show up in the systray is the Comm Manager. I tried adding the line ShowIcon=1 under HKLM\Services\WirelessMgr, but that didn't seem to do the trick. Any suggestions?

Yep, I forgot a file when I created the .cab file. I updated my original post with the correct Trayicons.zip Redownload, uninstall the one you installed, and install the new one. Should work fine for ya then.

Damn, as soon as I applied the registry edit that paul advised to get the battery icon up top I lost the date on the HTC home plugin as above. Now I only see "Sprint PCS" and no date to the right.

Has this happened to anyone else?

What and where is this edit? Does this adjust the time before EVDO is disconnected? Thanks

PROBLEMS WITH INTERNET

If you have problems with your internet ie. it won't connect says Error 67 or anything try to restore your these settings by doing the following before you call Sprint!! (note when I say restore I do not mean restore the phone or to erase any settings)

go to your phone pad dial: ##3282#
enter Password: 685312
Go to Edit> Menu> Restore>Ok>Ok

Should fix most problems if you did something to your phone by accident and wont let you connect to Sprint PCS #777. If the problems still persist contact Sprint, dont waste your time talking to anyone just tell em to transfer you to Advanced Technical Services to the people who actually know wtf they are doing not reading off a screen.

As you can tell I had a fun day today [PAUSE] NOT!

If you ever get that let me now!!!
Such freakin huge icons .. WThuda!

Under "HKLM\Services\Power"
You can change the key ShowIcon to 1 and you will then have the battery icon in the bottom tray. I am still working to track down the other 3 icons. The HTC plugin is such a huge waste of screen space.

This didn't work for me.

I can set the registry value, but there is no visible change when I return to my home screen.

When I do a soft reset, the registry value is back to 0.

Maybe something I'm using on the Today screen is messing with it? Is there something else I have to do?

I'm using two things that change the Today screen from the default:
*HTC Touch Home Plugin.
*Threaded SMS

After you do this you must remove the HTCHomeplug icon from your desktop then it will show properly.
