I agree that someone needs to code something to make the earpiece volume louder. If I have it full volume, it's usually pretty darn loud, but a couple people I call sound REALLY quiet on the phone, and it's irritating.

Yeah I'd like to increase the earpiece volume as well as the speak volume for ringers. I'm sure someone will come up with something. I used to have Volume Care on my Treo and that was great.

I read that by changing the key "tap" volume to zero the default dialer is much more responsive (faster). Anyone try this? Can't find where I read it, so anyone know where the hack is? Thanks.

Having alittle problem understanding the reg edits. This is the one I'm talking about.

3-Today screen, Single line date

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\TODAY
"Date"=dword:1
"AutoSingleLineDatePlugin"=dword:1

What is the "Date"=dword:1
and do I ad in:

"AutoSingleLineDatePlugin"=dword:1

What is the definition of this. Don't wanna mess anything up. Sorry for the noob question.

People were saying that the new ROM update improves earpiece volume. i havent really taked on the phone enough to test it, but maybe that is a solution.

Bring up the phone, hit Menu > Options, then the Phone tab at the bottom left, then turn Keypad to Off. No more beep noise, and thus no delay in pushing phone buttons.

Is there a hack so the phone won't play it's sound or vibrate after a reset? I like the phone to do a backup at 3:30 am when I won't be using it. I don't like it waking me up when it does the reset. If I tell it not to reset it locks out alarm functions.

You know what? Come to think of it, I didn't really have an issue with my earpiece volume until I updated my ROM. Now it's too darn quiet.
