I'm having the same problem. Do these drivers work on 64-bit XP or not? I remember the Coke unlocker or driver wouldn't work with 64-bit, but worked fine on another 32-bit machine.

i think that verizon phones need to be patched reguardless of wether u use 6.0 or 6.1. but i only have the patch for 6.0.
I got my XV6900 a few weeks ago with 6.0 on it, I then upgraded to the newest Verizon 6.1 update which I think people seem to call mr2. I then put NFSFAN's 6.5 ROM v7 on the phone. So that's where I am now....with GPS that doesn't work at all. Is this whole deal going to solve my problem or do I need to do something else?

EDIT: I guess I shouldn't have stopped reading on page 24..... on the previous page is says I need to go back to the 6.0 ROM....so I guess I'm going to do that and then put NFSFAN's 6.5 back on. Then this will all work right?!?

If you can confirm that will work I will get started on it. But I would like to know if I need to use a 32-bit computer to use the USB driver??

Yes you must go back to 6.0 then to a custom rom. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...94&postcount=4

I have a BB7130e on Cricket. I followed the instructions. Now in BBmaps it's telling me I need a Bluetooth enabled GPS device to work with my handheld. It didn't tell me that before.

Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

hi guys. i'm sorry if this has been covered. I've gone through every post i can and have spent the better part of 3 full days on this and am completely at a loss.

i'm a newbie too so please try to keep your answers complete because things that should be obvious to me might not necessarily be

ok i have a problem with trying this aGPS fix. it's not that it doesn't work, it's that i can't even begin! i've installed the drivers and the qpst. then i put my phone in diag mode by pressing ##3424# (i have to press an extra # at the end instead of send).

at that point, when i plug in my phone, it doesn't recognize it and start installing drivers. the window pops up that says detected new hardware and asks if it can search windows update for drivers. whatever i do it doesn't find the proper drivers so i never get to go beyond that point. please help. i would love to have gps working. btw, when i run GPSinfo, it tells me that it has an active gps in com4 but doesn't lock on to anything. ever. even if i let it run for an hour. please help!

Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

The Comm port on the PC is just to tell QPST what port the phone is on.

Comm 4 on the Device is telling the device what Comm Port the GPSone chip is on.

Funny I didnt even think of that, that it would confuse some. So yeah, they are 2 totally different things.

When configuring the GPS settings on the phone u will always use Comm 4, always. those will be settings on the phone that u change on the phone.

When connectiong th phone to the PC to edit the GPSone settings using QPST, the comm port that windows auto-assigns to the device is unpredictable, thats why we check the device manager.

try installing the drivers again.

what do u mean 'instead of send' ?

does the phone load up a white screen when u do ##3424# ?

see the videos again to see if u missed somethin. i have a feeling the phone is not in diagnostic mode.

if it gives u a chance to choose a driver location try the windows and/or the system folders. i really dont know right now where they htc diag drivers install to.
