Sort of a silly question, do you run the cab for the carrier rom or the phone provider?

Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

[quote=pknyo;713856]Let me repost my question, I was pretty tired and aggrevated last night when I originally posted. I am trying to get this fix to work on my Touch, but I run into problems when it comes time to running the diag on the phone. I`ve dialed the different combinations of 3424, and also tried running Dmrouter.exe under /DIAG parameters. Should I see something happen on my phone when I do that? I don`t see anything in the running processes fro Dmrouter.exe after I open it. I simply can`t get my phone to connect and show up in Device Manager in XP. I`m using the 3.42.5 radio and NFSFAN`s Alltel 1.02 rom if that helps.[/I have a similar issue CR4 b on my Mogul, I just dug through the PPC Kitchen files and found a folder named (Phone Codes), copied the ones that work with my phone to a Utilities folder in the Programs folder on my phone. Works for me.]

Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

C:\Program Files\PPCkitchen.org\BuildOS.1\Kitchens\PPCkitchen _OEM.rar...
Extract the Pone Codes folder to your desktop then make a copy of the codes you need. Put them in a folder (Utilities), then copy the folder to PPC via ActiveSync to: Windows\Start Menu\Programs\.
Trial & error will show wether DIAG1 or DIAG2 works for AllTel.
I use DIAG2 with VZW and the program shows:

[DMR v1.87]
Port DMR1: DIAG1:

the program hides in the background after a few secs.
Task mgr will bring it back when you need to finish with QPST or whatnot.
, PRL, DEBUG & PST all work good.

Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

Here is what i have. The sub-folder is what i use. Not sure if the .dsm file goes where i said to put in the Put.File.txt file. (READ) But first try the DIAG2 from SD Card to see if it works for you.

All Thanks go to PPC Kitchen.org for all the devotion to the cause.

Smile Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

I've been meaning to post on here, I used the guide and now my gps works. I had trouble in the beginning because, it says that the settings are for alltel only and i'm on metropcs, so I used the metro settings, but they didn't work. I then posted a thread asking for help and first reply was that he didn't have to change any settings. So, I changed the settings back to alltel server ip and all that good stuff in qpst, and now everything is working fine. Thanks for the awesome info! This site is great!
