Re: MetroPCS Web and MMS on PPC-6800

how did you make that registry file? I've tried loading it on my phone but get an error that:
"The specified file is not a Registry script"

I guess I'll go through manually and make the registry edits but man that seems daunting right now

Re: MetroPCS Web and MMS on PPC-6800

I don't know how it works, I tried just using the windows file explorer to import it and got that and then also tried Resco Registry editor and same thing.

I've manually gone through and edited all the registry entries at this point but, the only other phone I have available is my wife's 6800 that I haven't even started putting the MMS stuff onto yet. I'll test it out at work tomorrow and if the settings are good I'll export my registry entries from Resco and post them up tomorrow night for people to try out.

EDIT: just got the idea and tried sending a MMS to my email address and it came through just fine so I'm pretty optimstic. I'll verify that its working to another phone tomorrow and the incoming.

Re: MetroPCS Web and MMS on PPC-6800

I am sure you guys already know this but make sure the MIN or MDN is of your actual MSID on your phone. You can get this my hitting ##778# and you will notice in your registry editing that the MDN always has a 1 in front of your number, this is important to have entered properly as well.

Re: MetroPCS Web and MMS on PPC-6800

i found this on http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6...sharing-2.html

For those of you who want to tether your phones

thanks to nckmsn

Make the following registry changes:

HKLM\Software\OEM\WMODEM

add DWORD "CheckProfile"=0
set DWORD "Multi-NAI"=0
set DWORD "WModemDUN"=0

2. Start Modem Link (Open then select "Start" from the menu) with data disconnected and USB unplugged.

3. Connect USB. Windows will automatically download and install the appropriate drivers (you may have to click through some UAC prompts first to confirm).

4. Set up a new dialup connection using HTC USB Modem. Number is #777, user name is your phone number (area) ###-####, and password is "metropcs" without the quotes.

Depends on the reason the ESN is bad, if it is for payment then yes. If it is hot then no.
