Re: MetroPCS Web and MMS on PPC-6800

I am sure you guys already know this but make sure the MIN or MDN is of your actual MSID on your phone. You can get this my hitting ##778# and you will notice in your registry editing that the MDN always has a 1 in front of your number, this is important to have entered properly as well.

Re: MetroPCS Web and MMS on PPC-6800

i found this on http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6...sharing-2.html

For those of you who want to tether your phones

thanks to nckmsn

Make the following registry changes:

HKLM\Software\OEM\WMODEM

add DWORD "CheckProfile"=0
set DWORD "Multi-NAI"=0
set DWORD "WModemDUN"=0

2. Start Modem Link (Open then select "Start" from the menu) with data disconnected and USB unplugged.

3. Connect USB. Windows will automatically download and install the appropriate drivers (you may have to click through some UAC prompts first to confirm).

4. Set up a new dialup connection using HTC USB Modem. Number is #777, user name is your phone number (area) ###-####, and password is "metropcs" without the quotes.

Depends on the reason the ESN is bad, if it is for payment then yes. If it is hot then no.

Yeah, I use GPS on mine. I want everything free so I use google maps with a GPS primer (an app that starts up the internal GPS receiver). You can use the Sprint Telenav but you have to pay for it. The google maps wont let you have voice turn by turn directions.

Re: MetroPCS Web and MMS on PPC-6800

Well I've installed the Sprint MMS on both my wife's and my sprint 6800's and I think I've changed all the settings properly as I've been over them about a billion times. Sending works fine however still not getting receiving working.

Oddly though, when I send from one phone to the other one, the receiving phone powers on from standby like it just received something, but it never actually receives the message.

Re: MetroPCS Web and MMS on PPC-6800

check the registry under the mm1 or the ui i think there is a value that says recieve missilaneous something check see if it have the proper value, also check for the reject all message and maker sure that a 0 not a 1, lastly check the mms config in the mms messaging settings and see if the reject all messages are not check

Re: MetroPCS Web and MMS on PPC-6800

Checked all those, don't have a setting anywhere in my registry similar to "recieve missilaneous something" I've searched by every term possible for that. The other settings are all good though.

Starting to think its just using a sprint phone. Maybe I'll try burning a different ROM to my mogul... any suggestions anybody?

It is not the ROM, I have NueROM3 on one of the Moguls and it still wont work. I have been playing with it for four days trying to get this one working. So far I have done 4 for friends/relatives and only this one doesnt work. 3 were sprint phones and 1 verizon and it is one of the sprints that doesnt work.
