fishing hot spots

Its a GPS program that uses nautical, topo maps, allows you to plot courses, mark "fishing hot spots" etc. For nautical chart of lake, you'd have depths, etc. to find structures I use it on long island sound and the florida intercoastal, and little sebago. |

Re: Garmin GPS.......
Thanks for starting this thread. I got it and so far I LOVE IT. Better interface than the TomTom.
Just one question. Has anyone tried to use their blue tooth GPS with the mogul since the new Rom? I will be traveling out of the country this summer and I noticed a couple of folks have said they had trouble getting a GPS lock on the Mogul outside of the US. I am thinking of taking my Holux GPS as a backup. What I don't know is how to "turn off" the internal GPS on the Mogul and then tell it to use the Holux blue tooth. Seems like it also used Com 4. Would sure appreciate any thoughts, comments and suggestions. Ginny |

Re: Garmin GPS.......
Make sure you know what your phone settings are. I mean like COM4/COM6 ect.(Phone - Settings - System - GPS)
Then run the Garmin application and click Settings.Next you click System - then Remote GPS. If you choose "Disable" it will bring up a window and give you settings to choose from like "Bluetooth GPS" or "GPS Intermediate Driver" also ""Use Serial GPS". Choose Use Serial GPS and just make sure the settings match your phones settings, COM4/COM6 ect.... I have found that "GPS Intermediate Driver" Will work and find your GPS, and "Use Serial GPS" works with bolth COM4/COM6 as long as the Garmin settings match your phone settings.
