Re: Garmin GPS.......
The maps can be any (AFAIK, with an exception or 2) Garmin maps. Just DL the maps to the phone or SD card using MapSoure. You need to use the windows version to do that (don't know if it matters to you.)
Mobile XT in theory supports more than one map installed although people have had trouble getting more than one map to work w/o wiping out the other. The City Nav (NT and non-NT) maps both work fine. Aviation maps will NOT work. Can you put the marine maps on a normal say e-Trex unit? If so they should work, but don't hold me to it.

Re: Garmin GPS.......
Weird, seems like the GarminXT updates & downloads page keeps changing the froms & tos. I don't see 4.20.40w in there anymore and 4.20.30w is back... maybe its just me. It also doesn't seem that they are watching this thread or addressing the clock issue. Oh well.... I'm gonna give the 50 a try. BTW thanks for the link Nickles.

Re: Garmin GPS.......
Its the auto install on the sd card. I deleted mine a long time ago. I think its in a folder named 2577 or something like that. Try to cut and past it (2577) to a different folder soft reset and see if that helped it. If it did and it still works erase the 2577 folder.
