i used to get a whole bunch of that jazz back when i had my LG Fusic.

because when it was closed it had a touch mp3 interface with an external screen.

The problem I have is that people in general do not wish to "learn" anymore. Instead of searching for the best device that offers the most for your $$$ they turn into sheep and buy whatever the other guy has. They avoid anything that requires reading the manual or any type of advanced features and spend alot of money on visuals.

The reason this is a problem for me is because as the population around the world dumbs down less and less people show intrest in a device as advanced as the 6800. A population of advanced users that once dominated this market is being burried by sheep. Its just like computers. People would rather go out and buy a console but they never stop to think that because of the more advanced PC market consoles are even possible or ever even see improvements. Over the years we advanced electronic users are always stuck with the "beta" and the sheep get the polished product.

I am just tired of being the beta tester for retards that cant tie there own shoe's.

I love it. Whats even better is yesterday my bud comes over showing off his Iphone. When he couldnt get on the Internet instead of giving him my network password I turned on WMwifirouter on my Mogul and made him look the chump. He spent 2 hours toying with my phone and reading the manual. He is returning his phone in about 11 houres on his lunch break and heading to Sprint for a 6800.

I'm with you SteveNJ. I just shudder to think what my ppc6700 would be like if I had stuck with the crap (incomplete) ROMs provided us by carriers.

I'm getting really tired of this "it just works" mentality. If an interface isn't sufficiently retarded (and I mean that in the classical sense, "to retard progress"), and the "user" cant figure it out in 5 key presses with their eyes closed, then they chuck it. These are our new breed of informed consumer (they prolly watch the today show).

It makes me really miss DOS sometimes.

*Sigh*

Is the iphone hyped? Probably but I think we probably should thank Apple for coming out with it... even you never plan to get one.

Just think what the state of the WM devices would be without it?
I don't think we would have TouchFlo, HTC album, new browsers coming that try to match Safari's interface... etc.

Bottom line: Apple usually forces Microsoft and the WM manufacturers like HTC to make their stuff better.

So next time someone comes and asks you if your Mogul is an iphone just say, "No, but it's better because of the iphone"

I got it on the train on my way to work where a guy was actually showin' off his iPod, playin' around with it. So, I pulled out my iPhone look alike [Mogul] and started playin' with it next to his. We compared features, ease of use and other stuff. He bragged about havin' the slide featured, that is ... until I showed him I could do it to. Long story short, he balked at the features on my Mogul that he could do on his iPhone. It was too funny.

Simular situation i had at the other day. This other student saw me messing with htc home and busted out his iphone and said check this out...LOL, i turned on one of the few emulators i had installed and his buddy started laughing and ridiculing him mercilessly. I i mentioned how many gigs of storage i had and sealed the deal.
