200k with evdo? I've had 800-1000k for a long time now at my house, without the rev a upgrade. Now i'm seeing the same with the new ROM, so I guess it doesnt get any faster here

Yeah the download speed won't change much... but keep in mind since the pinging is so much better even w the same download speeds webpages will load quicker, because it has a "cleaner" connections... its really a big inprovement on uploads

Just wanted to say, I'm still running the stock rom here as well, and I'm getting 1000-1100 as well (Seattle) At least I did before it ran out of mem and crashed I went into the task manager while running the speed test and watched the available memory tick down from 25 mb to 0.

I am running Rev.0.....i never upgraded my rom or radio. this is what i am showing...apparently im on 1x. How do i use evdo or get higher speeds though?

Sprint has to offer it in ur area...ur phone should automatically pick it up.

so why am i only getting 1x when i use the internet? do i need to move to opera mini or something? Before i connected to the internet, the icon on top showed "Ev"....then when I hit the IE hard key and opened up IE it went to "1X"

Ok so I guess I am on Rev A. Finally got it tethered and ran a test on speedtest.net...

Dn: 1578
Up: 400-585!

Cracks me up that my upload speed on my phone is much more than on my DSL!

Ping is well over 100 on each test though. maybe that explains my slow browsing and connecting

Ouch. CHeck the icon at the top of the screen. It should be a little white square with EV in it. If it has 1X in it instead,your not even connecting evdo. Try turning the phone off and on. If that does not work,try in another location. Maybe you just are not getting a good signal. If that does not work,call sprint and complain.
