Yeah, I didn't think the relocker works unless you can get into ActiveSync.
It's not like he could have ran the RUU to flash it either.
Now putting the relocker .nbh file on a SD card, that hadn't occurred to me earlier.

I think i know what you did.I recreated same error. after i unlocked the phone i installed the wm6.1 from 2.17...this is a bare rom..When it rebooted still had rom 2.17 radio 1.47 controller..this is where the issue layed. So i did the cam & power button. With the reset.to get into boot loader. After that i installed the first 6.0 gps reva pre release rom.this is full rom.installed correct radio.after that i flashed to 6.1. everything worked fine after that.

I Have been following this story, I am considering flashing because I would like to utilize my GPS. And don't believe vzw will ever release a rom that allows this.
And if they did how long? And my freken Alarm will not work when unit is plugged in, crap
I also have the extra drop kick insurance. So what did you say or how in the end did you bring it back. To end this story.
I thought it cool on how many people tried to help
bring your phone back to life to bad you did not have more time.

I have insurrance as well but I thought I'd try to get a free replacement before breaking the phone and paying the deductable. I just walked into the store and an associate asked if he could help me. i told him the phone would not boot up and he replaced the phone no questions asked. I didnt even have to lie because they didnt ask any questions. lol. 30 minutes later I was on my way home with a new device.

Everyone keeps saying you should have flashed this or flashed that. Thats great guys, but nothing would load into the phone. It was completely unresponsive to usb or memory card. I even had one of the site guru's look at it and they declared it bricked. Anyway, it was alot easier to exchange the phone than to keep fucking with the broke one. I had it synced up before i broke it anyway so I didnt lose anything.

Many thanks to all the people who tried to help me with this. Lots of folks went out of their way to give me advice. A few even offerred to call me. Just wanted you guys to know your appreciated!

OK I am in the same boat. I can't get a new phone from a Verizon store since I am on a corporate account. I have to wait a few days to get a new phone shipped to me!!!!

I think the problem is that I did not downgrade the radio before downgrading the OS and locking the SPL.

Anyone have any ideas on getting the radio downgraded or getting the OS updated so I can downgrade in the proper order? I can get to the bootloader just like ffk_pennywise but nothing can upload to it except the Sprint ship ROM but since the CID does not match it gives me a Vendor error in RUU.

I've tried building new NBH's with CID of VZW__001 but none of them will load. I can't unlock the CID since it requires ActiveSync to load Haret.

Is this thing really dead? Surely there has to be a way to repair this sucker. Does anyone have a true VZW ROM Update instead of a dump? I suspect the actual signed VZW nbh would actually work!

dude your phone is not bricked. Search these forums and I gurantee you, you can get it working again. Start here..

Hold your Power + Camera (buttons) and soft reset. That will take you to your bootloader. Custom or the one that came with the official vzw rom.

No need to return it, you s hould be able to fix this on your own.

This is a lost cause. Please read the contents of a thread before posting suggestions like "Hey dummy, you can just reflash from the bootloader". If it were that simple I wouldn't be posting it here looking for help.

The 1.06 bootloader from the TitanRelocker will not accept ANY ROM's out there on an XV6800. The reason for this seems to be that there are no ship ROM's available just dump ROM's. The VZW_2.09_RUU_signed.nbh file is the OS only and is not a complete ship rom with SPL/radio/ExtRom/etc. At least when I extract it with NBHTool I only get a Windows.nb file.

The reason the Moguls can be fixed in this state is because the Sprint ROM is a complete signed ROM from HTC. The same is not true for the XV6800 from Verizon. I already got a new phone (they shipped me one overnight) but the curiosity is killing me and I would love to putz around and try to fix this phone.

So it sounds like Verizon users shouldn't attempt this until AFTER Verizon releases an update thus putting a full stock ROM out there that includes all necessary components? I recall that on the XV6700 I didn't do any ROM hacks until after there was a stock Verizon ROM readily available.

Well that's just absurd

That would be the safe way of doing things. My mistake was running TitanRelocker before downgrading the Radio and ROM.

I think the proper procedure for downgrading the XV6800 back to stock would be to install TitanUnlocker to put you back to an unlocked SPL. Your Titan would most likely not boot at this point because the SPL is not designed for the GPS ROM's. You would then boot into bootloader mode and downgrade the radio and ROM. The Titan should boot back to Windows at which point you should be able to run TitanRelocker.

It's all theory right now since I am not about to try this on my new XV6800. But it would be really nice to have a Stock VZW ROM laying around just in case
