Re: Official Titan built-in GPS Thread

Thanks for that,

I read it and the other linked posts and tried changing red settings to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\SUPL AGPS

"GPSMode"=2
"EnableAGPS"=1
"ServerIP"=216.198.139.92
"ServerPort"=8889
"EnableGPSSmartMode"=1

HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\Mode=2 (the original value)
HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\PDEAddress=5C8BC6D8 (HEX VALUE)
HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\PDEPort=8889

I have read that thread in full and their appears to be no definitive "fix" for this. Did I miss something?

Re: Official Titan built-in GPS Thread

Yes just install the vahalla cab and the telus cab for vahalla. Assuming you have a stock rom.

Re: Official Titan built-in GPS Thread

Yes, my location is on and I have a data connection. Tried using gps_viewer and it can not find sats either... Do you think I would be better served with a hard reset? and if so do I need to reinstall Valhalla etc when I do?

Re: Official Titan built-in GPS Thread

Yes a hard reset would help. And yes you always have to have them installed for gps to work.

Re: Official Titan built-in GPS Thread

Thanks for the help and your fast responses. I will hard reset and I believe I do not have to reinstall the 6.1 mr1 update? But I do have to install the 2 cabs, Valhalla nd the gps fix?

Once you have gps working on this phone it is very hard to live without.

Thanks again

Re: Official Titan built-in GPS Thread

Yes your rom stays the same. Just install the two cabs and reset between each and check registry settings. The install htc gps tool or gpsviewer

Re: Official Titan built-in GPS Thread

Heya everybody nice thread ya got here. So I experimented because my External GPS crapped out on me. I just have one question is it worth the hassle to use a custom rom? I tried doing this last night but things were not working out.... But I did try the stock route and it seems I am getting a signal but not good enough for TomTom.... Anyways if I go with a hacked rom and radio will the internal gps work better?

I have a Titan on Telus.

Thank you!
