I have the Alltel ROM 3.52.671.9 and am an Alltel customer. The ROM update seems to be only to allow the internal gps to be utilized by Alltel Navigation.

Re: Official Titan built-in GPS Thread

Hello all. I figure this would be the best place to ask. I have read through most of the post in this thread with no luck. I am using a Verizon VX6800 with WM 6.1 the MR1 update rom ver 3.57.605.1 and radio version 3.37.75 I also have Valhalla Legends installed. I just today hard reset my phone. (I had the MR2 update but reverted back because I though it could have been my problem.) I have followed the steps turning on the location setting as well as checked all the external gps settings which are correct. I have allowed my phone to run the gps viewer program outside for an hour and still cannot get any satelight locks with it nor google maps or windows live search. I do have the unlimmited data package and connected to the net when I tried this. I'm at a loss. Any suggestions? Would the steps in the link provided by drewcam888 a couple of post ago work for my device? I really don't want to risk bricking my phone if that particular tutorial will not work. Thanks and I apprciate any help.

Re: Official Titan built-in GPS Thread

My understanding is that you need both a gps enabled radio rom and a custom system rom. The 'stock' VZW roms MR1/MR2 don't work from what I last read. I didn't bother trying it with MR1 or MR2 because once I was ready to flash the radio rom I was anxious to try out ppckitchen at the same time. Kevin

Re: Official Titan built-in GPS Thread

I am reading until my eyes teared blood. I'm too much of a newby to pull this off I believe

I have a Bell stock Windows 6.0.

Do I have to?
a) unlock
b) flash new radio
c) flash new custom rom (ex; dcd-titian rom)
d) relock

and before I start I need a MSL code?

Let me know if I am on the right PATH

So does that mean I will have to use a cooked / custom rom such as pdaj's clean titan rom or something of that kind?

Re: Official Titan built-in GPS Thread

I'm at work so sorry for being brief but: Unlock, flash radio rom, flash custom rom (I tried one of the dcd's and it wasn't interesting to me. Get ppckitchen.) and that should do it. Search for gamedic's tutorial. Very easy to follow. Kevin

Re: Official Titan built-in GPS Thread

I don't know that one but yea. Search for gamedic's tutorial. And go here to download the software to build your own rom. http://ppckitchen.org/ It's almost too easy. Kevin
