There's no reason why the app shouldn't be included with the Mogul.

We can easily create a petition at petitiononline.com, or even just send individual letters to Sprint, but before we move on to that step, I want to know if I have the support of the PPCGeeks community. Are you guys in for this?
Sprint cares about its customers.

Wouldn't make sense since they do charge most Mogul users for data and messaging.

I'm sensing this remark was tongue-in-cheek. With enough complaints, even if they didn't, they will have to. Or else they shouldn't be allowed to keep that title as "undisputed leader in customer service" (who gave them that anyway?).

I will begin work on a draft for the petition letter to Sprint soon.

That app would rock IMO. It has all the IM clients i use and buying a 3rd party app that i should get for free kinda bugs me. Count me in on the petition.

Trillian would rock, but i dont think they are making it for our phones.

I'm using Palringo, and it works okay... but i've seen the OZ on other phones, and that is the crispest, cleanest IM app out by far...

Hopefully, Palringo can hold me down till Sprint give in to yo demands, bruh... and i hope they do...

Show where da petition at and i'll sign it wit ma left and right hand... count me as two votes. lol.

Palringo looks ok, but it isn't over SMS like OZ. OZ is great if you are in a crappy coverage area. Everything else keeps signing in and out. Until OZ works, I'm using the IM Everywhere plugin for Trillian. It sets up a webserver and lets you get your IM's from your desktop and can send you a text when you have new IMs.

sprint wont hear you out on this.... think about it they stiffed an ENTIRE handset generation when they failed to upgrade the 6700 apache to WM6 as promised... they care not for your OZ demands, they know the 'average' customer doesnt have the balls to pull this type of movement. If you're on this site you've already taken yourself out of the 'average' category and therefore they arent after 'your' business in the first place.

Only 2 groups move mobile market meters: Enterprise/Corporate contracts, and the lowest common denominator uneducated consumer (the ones that pay $2 for ringtones rather than learn how to chop and cut them for free on their own... and the ones who 'need' and iphone when there is nothing really useful or practical about owning one, it's a toy.)

Oz aint on their radar, and YOU/ME aint on their radar.

Naut

Our complaints should be heard, no matter our business category. I know of Sprint's past history with neglecting customer demands (like the WM6 situation with both the 6700 and the Moto Q as well), but the 6800 is a relatively new handset, and considering the problems with the phone prior to 2.17, I'd say Sprint owes us one. It would be unwise for them to abandon our handset generation, especially since we're less than half a year old.

If they fail to address the issue even after our petition letters, there is an Sprint executive hotline that we can dial to bring this one level up. The key is to not give up, and to keep pressing Sprint until they meet our demands.
