I had that problem in 2.09. Can you install any apps? I couldn't either when I got that problem. Anyhow, I couldn't figure it out and my only solution was a hard-reset.

Could someone please let me know how I can bypass the sprint customizations that get installed in the 2.17 update?

Do a hard reset and get your stylus ready. When it says loading carrier customizations in 3 seconds, do a soft reset immediately and it wont do it again when it starts up next time.

Why does everyone wanna bypass the Sprint Customizations? What do youy save by not installing them?

And is it me or does the Cube and Touchflo work better now with this ROM?

on the 2.17 rom if you bypass the customization your BT volume is def louder.

I DIDN'T load the Sprint Customizations and the Sprint Music Store is installed and working...but it is missing the On Demand app. you can downloadand install that though with no problem.

did the up-grade last night and so far so good. works great with my motorola headphones and with my sony bluetooth car radio. no lockups or dropped bluetooth connections as of yet. it feels alittle faster, but I think that is due to a fresh installation of everything...

I let the Sprint customizations run, and I think the BT volume is perfect. I was quiet before with the older ROM's but def. alot louder now. I did a hard reset right after the phone was done flashing, then after the hard reset, just let the customizations run.

using ROM 2.17 now without sprint carpware...

the alarm bug is fixed.

Anyone have just the new radio in a file I can flash? I'm using one of dcd's clean Alltel rom's and love it but I would like to see what the new radio file fixes or breaks.
