I loaded the 2.17 ROM and 1.47.01 radio update yesterday. I hadn't seen many issues other than these:

- Had a couple of incidents where, when talking on my jawbone bluetooth headset, I would hear a "dial tone" in the middle of the conversation and then I couldn't talk to the other person anymore. The phone said it was still "in call"

- Just had an incident where I hit the "power" button on the side, and when the phone "woke up", I had notifications for 1 text message, 1 missed call, and 1 voice mail all come up at once.. so maybe that stuff isn't fully working yet? I had major problems with the phone not "waking up" to notify me when I got text messages with the 2.08 ROM.

Couple more "issues"

- With the old ROM, when using my headset, if I answered a call with the button on the headset, the voice/audio would be run through it; and if I answered the call with the talk button on the phone, the call would go through the built-in speaker/mic on the phone.

It now seems that no matter how I answer the phone when my bluetooth headset is on, the voice/audio go through the headset.

- Also, a little while ago, I had the phone lock up and not wake up. I had to pull the battery to reset the phone.

Sounds like a bug in my favor, well most of the time anyway.
Hate to lift this thing to my ear. :/

with the new rom it seems that when i set the orange led to blink on missed txt messages, it doesnt turn off the orange flash after i read the txt msg. Only way to make it stop is to go into Notifications and take off the "flash led" option. Anyone else have this issue?

I just ordered a Mogul and will be installing this update before I load anything else onto the phone.

So what specificly are the Sprint customizations besides the splash screen at startup. I'd like to save some memory if they are not necessary.

Thanks!

Well, like some other people, I experienced the "roaming lockup" today. I can also confirm it no longer shows if you're roaming either (no roaming triangle). Looks like HTC/Sprint still has some work to do.

Yes, they do. I've also had roaming lockups with 2.17.

It's sad that multiple people report the same bug almost immediately after a ROM is released. Their refusal to have people beta test the ROMs in the real world makes me think they'll never get it right, unfortunately.

I still wonder if there's a hardware problem with the Mogul. They can't get the Mogul fixed, but the Touch was fine at launch.
