Ok as for the issue with the phone freezing up between switching auto/sprint to roaming. I used this with HTC Home plugin and it froze everytime, after reading everyones problem and everyone had HTC Home I tried switching the setting using Microsofts start, settings and no freeze up problem... Everyone try that and see if it fixes your problems as well. Also is there a way to fix the HTC Home plugin with an update or an older version? Good luck

Update is working fine here, no bt disconnect, d-pad working ok after bt active and going to sleep, etc. People crying foul with the update might need to see what they have installed and where the conflict lies. I had to remove some stuff including HTC home to get it to work as expected. People restoring from backup might have some other complications as well.

Best way to pinpoint your issues is to hard reset and install apps that startup with system or that you run all the time one at at time and see what works and what doesn't.

Overall I am satisfied with update so far.

I updated the rom yesterday around 2PM, and I've only noticed 2 bugs. One is while roaming (blacksburg is 1X only, so roaming = off sprint's network) it locks up, and will not reawaken from sleep mode. and the other thing I have noticed, that I haven't seen discussed, is I get delayed text messages from people, which never used to happen with the older roms. has anyone else experienced the text delay? it's definitely not repeatable, but it has happened on 4 different occaisions so far.

Dpad fails to move at times other than that I can live with it for what they fixed!

Several of us have tested that hypothesis by flashing the new ROM and leaving the device totally "vanilla" with no added software, but the bugs persist. So it's apparently not a clash with any third-party app.

A lot of people have posted "fixes" that turned out to be false fixes because they didn't wait long enough to make sure the bugs didn't return. If anyone is going to post what they think is a fix, it would probably be best for them to wait and make sure the fix really works. These bugs are intermittent, so you can't be sure right away that a fix is a genuine fix.

After reading this... I am sticking with the "music store" ROM...

Its working fine for me, minus the fact I have to leave the phone on the charger all night with the phone set not to sleep in order for me to be guaranteed to have my alarms...

But I'd rather not have my phone freezing either.

Some work, some don't....

I have yet to install the hype but then again, I am not having any issues (yet) with the bluetooth or the phone in general.

What I am interested in is the folks that are saying that the phone is working great after the update.

Are any of you in a 1X area?
What software have you installed?
Do you use push?

We have all the details about what is broke but I would like to know the details of the successful upgrade before I dive into this pool....
