New Bing with Turn by Turn Directions!

Works partially for me with NRG rom - VZNav. I get voice nav and turn directions, etc., but what is really terrible, is that it rarely finds things that I know are near me when I use the search feature. For example, it finds NO Starbucks, Jamba Juice, or Carl's Junior near me, even though they are within a few blocks. It recognizes my voice, and is searching for the proper object, it just doesn't find it.

It seemed to be better with the old version at finding stuff.

Once it finds something, it works very well.

Now it appears to be working for the missing sites, though not always...really wierd...

so an appointment alert froze voice navigation. I closed the app in task manager. when i re launched it. navigate was replaced with vz navigator. soft reset did not fix. any thoughts?

It"s acting the same for me....Search feature is "Hit or Miss" whether it's voice or typed in. It will find things "sometimes". Navigation and locating works fine from contacts. Search function needs work!!

Using NRG May 9 GTX 235659 and at first got the link to update but it would crash with Opera 9.7. Used PIE and navigated to m.bing.com/download and re-installed app, seems to work now.

Just downloaded cab and talking Nav works on my rom

im using the docs rom and i can confirm, hes right, it works FLAWLESSLY. this bing update really impresses me.

yep, on drelisdee rom, it works beautifully. Funnily enough, it actually announces the street, unlike Garmin XT, which just says "turn left".

It's not "funny" just that Bing is better programmed. Garmin software is soon DOA in the USA (was XT even sold in the USA any time recently?) with Google and MS doing turn by turn and without a doubt Apple will too.

MS has spent serious resources on Bing and is banking on it as one of the core experiences of it's s entire mobile reboot. It's nice to see it appear in WM6.5.
