Does anyone know how to change the background of the New Bing app?

I believe it's a cropped version of the actual bing.com image for that day. It's auto-changed each day when you open it. Not sure you can override that.

Anyone else notice it seems to "lag" or be a little behind on navigation?

Actually mine has been pretty good. The only time it might be a little late is if you pass a turn and it has to reroute, or if you make a couple turns in quick succession maybe and it doesn't have time to give all the notices.

I installed the new Bing and it works great

I have done some testing with it and am impressed with it.
The turn directions are in a timely manner, and I have intentionally made a wrong turn and the re-calculating function is pretty fast.
