Sense 2.1/2.5 [Updated 24-Nov-10]

jabson, to answer some of your questions. Yes by doing a hard reset you will loose all information. If you have your contacts, email, calendar information backed up then there are no worries. 2nd thing, if I were you I would probably wait until the HSPL comes out later today or tomorrow and someone has created a ROM with 2.5 built in. As good as 2012 is there are still some bugs but that is why we all test it. One bug for me is the phone goes sky high with memory usage and slows way down. If bugs and testing is not an issue for you then by all means install the 2.5 cab.

Can anyone asnwer this. I remember attempting to install Net 3.5 but my system said that I had a newer version installed, and checking my install log, it says installation stopped as newer version detected. How do I find my version, and if it is a newer version, do I have to downgrade in order to install 2.5?

Over rotating and over to just the left side of the screen. Any ideas on correcting it?

I have not installed 3.5, I was going to install it when I got my phone, knowing I would need it for other programs I planned to download. Those programs work just fine, so wonder if it came pre-installed. I am running WM6.5 on the phone. I have not yet installed the 2.5 version, still running orig 2.0. touchflo

And the hard reset, does that remove everything and return phone to factory setting? I really don't want to do that. I did use the MyPhone program to back everything up. if hard reset does erase everything, I could use that to recover the data, if I have to.

You can download a trial version of SPB Backup and I believe it lets you backup and restore 5 times before requiring your to register. It's a great program and worth the registration. It's easily worth trying out.

jabson, if I were you I would wait until the HSPL. Keep in mind though by installing a new ROM on your device you will wipe everything off ( clean slate ) and bring it back. Look into SPB Backup, I personally like it and if your going to be doing a lot of flashing it is a great tool to have.
