Sense 2.1/2.5 [Updated 24-Nov-10]

For those having problems with lockups, make sure you have followed the instructions on the first post to a T. Install and soft reset just as it says. Also, I would suggest only restoring the PIM data from a backup.

It seems after a fresh install, it is real buggy. I like to disable my light from shutting off, that way I can see what it's doing the whole time and I have had fewer "lock ups" doing it that way. The more you use it and reset it, the better 2.5 gets. Give it a little time, it is kind of moody when first installed.

If you continue to get lockups, I believe it is something that is being installed or restored that 2.5 doesn't like. Try to install your programs one at a time and test for a while, then install the next. This way we can identify the problem.

I just finished my second install with some minor differences in install order and I think I'll skip MyPhone for now and do all my texting from WM instead of htc. If I have to reset constantly I'll either try 2.1 or head back to the new ROM 2.0 setup. I'm hoping this community continues to make progress on 2.5 because it's cool!

Hey T0adman, definitely upgrade to the latest ROM! This will run much smoother on the newer ROM and possible get rid of some of the problems.

it doesnt install the tweaks its like advance configuration but for windows and manila u toggle through it and set what ever you want like dialer sense scrolling sms sent notifications tf3d soft keys four colums programs ect ect ect

please note if you already installed tweaks and then install this program your tweaks then become default

i use microsoft my phone all the time never had an issue
to just use wm sms just install the zaneys cab on first post

My post was a little misleading. I'm using the newest ROM.

Has anyone gotten Swype to work consistently or found a 2.5 version?

I have Swype working right now, didn't have to do anything special, just install and use.

The 3.04 rom is on VZW's upgrade site now. The ROM on the website - (pdcphones.com ) is 15 MBs larger than the 3.04 ROM on conflippers thread.
I wonder what the difference is ? Guess I will Have to flash it to find out.

No , I compared the files and the bloatware is identical on both 3.04 ROMs.
Still checking other files.
