For those having problems with lockups, make sure you have followed the instructions on the first post to a T. Install and soft reset just as it says. Also, I would suggest only restoring the PIM data from a backup.

It seems after a fresh install, it is real buggy. I like to disable my light from shutting off, that way I can see what it's doing the whole time and I have had fewer "lock ups" doing it that way. The more you use it and reset it, the better 2.5 gets. Give it a little time, it is kind of moody when first installed.

If you continue to get lockups, I believe it is something that is being installed or restored that 2.5 doesn't like. Try to install your programs one at a time and test for a while, then install the next. This way we can identify the problem.
