I don't have any idea how to unlock the phone, but neither do 90% of the people on this forum. All I'm saying is that those that are making and trying to perfect this .cab could spend the time instead on unlocking the phone.
Alright dude, look. I've been helping out a lot on this Sense cab, as has jmart, maxtcee, and megapinky. We may know how to put a cab together or fix it after we find out what the kinks are, but if we knew how to build the Hard SPL unlock, don't you think we would have done it already? The reason I think most of us are doing this is to pass the time by simply because we DON'T know how to unlock the phone. A little less of and a little more of will go a long way until the HSPL unlock comes out. cmonex is the only one working on it because she knows what she's doing, and we don't want to brick our phones trying to do it, especially since most of us have no idea where to start. Cool it.
right on .. its true man yall been helping a lot people n i luv how my imagio look n urs not a waste of time now our phone look pimpin lol

Re: Manila Sense 2.1 / 2.5 *Updated Feb 15, 2010*

Okay, I really like the 2.5 interface and I'm very impressed with the progress this community has made towards improving it and making it functional on our devices. I don't know if it's because I have a very early device or what but I simply cannot get a shred of reliability out of this thing.

Last night I got the newest build installed exactly as directed and had it up and running well again. I installed a contact and two program links on the home screen, setup a Gmail account, added a few stocks, and did the reg tweak to remove the TV icon (changed the name of the file). After a (EDIT) soft reset the phone would boot into WM6.5 but when Sense tried to load it would eventually go to a black screen and all hard buttons were unresponsive. I left it in that state overnight and it drained the battery completely. I've since hard reset and restored 2.0. I'm bummed because 2.5 has so many great enhancements but for some reason it simply does not want to run on my device. I'm just so hopeful for those four wonderful letters...

^It's all because you did the hard reset.

It resets all settings and whatnot. You should be doing a SOFT reset, which is just pressing the red button on the back.

Jeeez, that was a typo. Good point. A hard reset would have screwed up the entire Sense 2.5 load. On the hand, it would mean Sense 2.0 with the new ROM would load up. If I got a black, unresponsive screen after a HARD reset I'd be in real trouble.

NO ! When you do a hard reset it erases all the data and goes back to the 3.04 rom . It will be like it was when you first got it.

Now for some reason it will always crash on start up, but it still works. So what you'll want to do is just disable error reporting so that the crash screen doesn't come up. It's not perfect but it does exactly what it needs to do. Enjoy.
This does set it as default, except if HTC messaging is disable. At least that's been my experience. Regardless I will load the new cab once it is ready and try it anyway.
