Sense 2.1/2.5 [Updated 24-Nov-10]

jmart, it goes away after a soft reset, but after alot of use, it starts to come back. If I use the screen alot, it will just pop up, and continues until I soft reset.

As for a hard reset, with my custom ROM, it again delayed the problem, but it didn't make it go away. Eventually, I couldn't even hard reset, because I couldn't turn my phone off, even the hardware keys wouldn't work. Had to remove battery to do it.

I have not reinstalled 2.5, been running 2.1 and running it through some serious paces, and nothing yet. It took a few days before I noticed the first hickup, so I am going to go for a bit running stock to be sure there is not something with the phone itself.

If all goes well, I will reinstall without cookies on the 20th (my next day off). If all goes well for that, and I don't have any hitches, then I will install cookies and see what happens.

It may be cookies for all I know. I hope not, since it is truly a great program and really expands the usefulness of my phone. BUT I can live without it, just not as well!

I will let you know once I reinstall 2.5, and keep you abreast of whats going on with it.

I am not the creator of the 2.1 cab, it was actually built by Freeza. He must have pulled it. Once I get the bugs worked out in my ROM, I will spend a little time on putting together a 2.1 cab.

Works on Xperia X1 (WM6.1, Jack V3.3 Lite) but Photos&Videos tab doesn't load because AlbumSearcher.exe is missing. Also, i can't press anything in Settings tab (it only selects item, but it doesn't open it) and i can't scroll to bottom of list with finger, only with hardware arrow keys.
Any solutions?

Hi installed your 2.5 cab but now it doesn't show lock on home screen is there a way to have it back?

-The photo tab requires HTC album to work, if your phone doesn't have it, you will need it. There are a few cabs floating around here and XDA.
-The settings tab sounds like missing dependencies as well.
This cab is mainly designed for HTC phones since they have most of the Sense 2.5 requirements already included. To make include all the dependencies, the cab would be enormous.

Not sure I understand, do you mean the softkey?

Thanks for reply. I fixed album by installing HTC Album. But there are still some missing dependencies as i cant scroll with my finger in Album (just like in settings tab)... And i tried installing HTC Scroll, Shared Modules, Resource Proxy, DRM Middleware,..., but nothing of that didn't help. Still only WM default GUI elements are only ones that are working perfectly, HTC ones are not clickable (only can select it, it doesn't execute) and not scrollable. Looks like i will need to download some ROM with Sense 2.5 cooked in...

yes "lock" softkey. Now it shows "Phone" on left side and "menu" on the right I would prefer to have "lock" so I can easily lock my screen. It shows "lock" softkey on Your screen shots on the first page of this thread but somehow mine doesn't have it.

I would definitely suggest running a ROM with Sense 2.5 built in, if you have that option. If not, you can try installing HTC_Framework and see if that helps out.

Ok, no problem. That is easily changeable through the registry:
Navigate to:

HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\HTC\Manila
HomeLSKPath=Windows\DeviceLock.exe
HomeLSKText=Lock

If you don't feel comfortable editing the registry, there is a cab HERE that will do the same thing.

hey jmart i installed your new sense cab to my imagio it works great but i did notice that the contacts that i linked through facebook somewhow restart sense after i try to add them to my favorites page or send a text to them.
