Yea, I know. I've found two alternatives - Remember the Milk and Astrid.

Remember the Milk - With a Pro account, you can sync with Windows Mobile devices, Blackberry devices, Android devices, and the iPhone. It has a yearly fee of $25. It has a 15-day free trial.

Astrid - Will sync your Android device with your Remember the Milk account. It is free. Since Astrid handles repeating tasks differently than Remember the Milk, you must decide who will manage your repeating tasks - Astrid on your Android device or Remember the Milk on the Web.

All my reads say that if you sync with Outlook, emails are not synced. Is this correct or has it changed?

if you're talking about a local outlook sync i'm not 100% sure. my sprint rep said "syncs with outlook" but i'm pretty sure he was referring to his corporate exchange account and his email was syncing that way which isn't necessarily the same as a local sync. i'll ask and should get a reply here real quick otherwise i get my hands on it in the next few days and i'll find out

Can you also test and see if you can setup a Google pop account. I'm planning on having Exchange is my only sync source; but still read my Google email thru a pop account. Currently I do not use any Google applications including email.

I was just signing on to say the same thing. It's true for Exchange and through HTC Sync, which is the local sync software that comes with the phone. Sorry guys.

You HAVE to have a Gmail account and be signed in, in order to do ANYTHING with the Android Market.
